Welcome to Café Kok Tong, a beloved coffee shop nestled on Jl. Cipto No.115 in the heart of Pematang Siantar. This charming establishment not only serves as a local favorite but is also an emblem of the region's vibrant coffee culture, drawing in caffeine enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

The moment you step inside Café Kok Tong, you're enveloped by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee—an experience that awakens the senses and beckons you to explore their offerings. Renowned for its traditional brewed coffee, the café expertly balances robustness and subtlety, ensuring that each sip transports you to a place of comfort and indulgence. Whether you prefer a classic black coffee or the creamy delight of coffee with milk, Kok Tong's local varieties are crafted to perfection, promising a distinctive taste that lingers long after the cup is empty.

As you settle into the relaxed atmosphere, take a moment to engage with the unique ambiance. Patrons often find themselves enjoying a live performance from local artists, creating a community vibe that's hard to resist. Gracefully decorated, the café maintains its traditional feel, providing a cozy backdrop for both solitary contemplation and lively conversations with friends. Edwin Petrus's review perfectly encapsulates this experience, mentioning the café's cleanliness and how it remains popular over the years, thanks to its high-quality coffee and inviting environment.

Food lovers will undoubtedly want to indulge in the accompanying local delicacies, particularly the sarikaya toast bread—a delicious pairing with your coffee that enhances the café experience. Imagine buttery toast harmonizing with the deep, sweet notes of Kok Tong's coffee; it's a combination that elevates your visit. Nolianto Ananda suggests sampling this delightful treat along with the coffee, making it a must-try during your visit.

However, it's worth noting that some patrons wish for a designated smoking area, as pointed out by Grace Kelly Hosea. Despite this minor drawback, the café's allure is undeniable. Albert Jonathan emphasizes the iconic status of Kok Tong, and securing a seat can be a delightful stroke of fortune, making the café even more special.

In conclusion, whether you are a local or a traveler exploring Sumatra Utara, Café Kok Tong is a must-visit. Pair your coffee experience with the joyful sounds of music, savor the local flavors, and take in the community spirit that this café so generously offers. Come for the coffee, stay for the atmosphere—Café Kok Tong is more than just a coffee shop; it's an experience that captures the essence of Pematang Siantar.

One of the iconic coffee shop in Siantar. You need to be lucky enough to grab a seat there. You can taste the sweet roasted coffee aroma with just one sip. This is the first shop they opened and quickly franchises out all over the North Sumatra.

Nice atmosphere After few years this place remains the same. Today, Dec. 24, 2021 meet local artists doing live singing. You can support them by giving a little penny. Try coffee from this cafe to try its bold taste. If you visit here in the morning, pay a visit to a pork porridge stall (bubur daging kecap) located at Jl. Dr. Wahidin beside Dental Sehat.

The most famous and most crowded Kok Tong Coffee branch at the heart of Pematang Siantar city. Kok Tong offers traditional brewed coffee that has been recognized for years by the locals. Taste of the coffee is still maintained with good quality till today. The coffee shop was also kept with traditional ambience. Cleanliness was ok. It is a good place for just having meal or hang out with friends and families. Smoking is allowed here. Pricing was standard. Payment is available by cash only. Parking is at crowded road. If you make a visit to Siantar town, you must drop by here.

A must visit place for coffee lover. The coffee is quite strong but taste good. Bakpau is also delicious and the recommend one is either pork bakpau or the red bean, so if you’re looking for Halal food, please be aware. The shop itself is quite classic and they were established in 1925 based on the sign in the shop. The service is fast so you don’t have wait long for your coffee, even in busy hours. Typical coffee shop: crowded, noisy, smoke from cigarette everywhere but, if you don’t mind with all of that then you come to the right place. Location is easy to reach but in busy hours, good luck finding a parking spot and a table. Overall, this place is worth to visit and feel the taste of Pematang Siantar coffee.
